Our client is an established and respected accountancy practice with a strong presence across Staffordshire, providing tailored accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses. As Business Services Manager, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, oversee the delivery of high-quality accounts and business advisory services, and play a key role in mentoring and developing junior team members. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager seeking a leadership role within a progressive firm of Chartered Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent.

Key Responsibilities*Managing a portfolio of business services clients
*Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under UK GAAP
*Overseeing the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
*Providing business advisory services and identifying growth opportunities for clients
*Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff
*Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
Requirements*ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
*At least four years’ experience working within a UK Practice environment
*Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance
*Proven experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service
