Job Description:
Reed Business Support is assisting our Sittingbourne-based client in recruiting a proactive and motivated Van Sales Executive to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer engagement skills who enjoys developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting overall business growth. Candidates from a commercial van or truck sales background are encouraged to apply.
The RoleAs a Van Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new opportunities, engaging with customers, and ensuring a smooth and professional sales process from initial enquiry through to final handover. The position includes both office-based activity and customer interaction, so confidence, strong communication skills, and adaptability are essential.
Key Responsibilities:*Developing new leads and supporting the expansion of the customer base
*Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
*Providing clear, customer-focused information on available products and services
*Managing the sales process from first contact through to completion
*Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
*Preparing basic reports and monitoring ongoing activity
*Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments
*Staying informed about general market trends and customer behaviours
*Delivering a high standard of service throughout the customer journey
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience in a customer-facing, sales, or business development role
*Experience within commercial van or truck sales is highly desirable
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Confidence working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
*Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail
*Competent IT skills, ideally including CRM or similar systems
*A proactive approach, positive mindset, and willingness to learn
