Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to support customs operations and regulatory compliance across UK and EU markets.
Key Responsibilities:*Ensure accurate and timely completion of trade compliance reports and KPIs
*Classify goods correctly using appropriate tariff codes
*Complete and monitor import, export, transit, ICS and ENS declarations
*Provide UK import guidance and liaise with HMRC
*Manage CITES permits, applications, notifications and trackers
*Audit customs entries to ensure compliance with UK/EU regulations
*Maintain accurate records, trackers, SharePoint documentation and invoicing
*Support internal projects and improve operational efficiencies
*Build strong relationships across departments and external partners
Skills & Experience:*3–5 years’ experience in customs or trade compliance (corporate or brokerage environment)
*Strong knowledge of UK & EU customs regulations and documentation
*Experience with CITES permits (desirable)
*Solid understanding of commodity codes, duties, valuation and Incoterms
*Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
*Intermediate Excel skills
*Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
*Flexible approach, with occasional weekend work as required
