Match Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of their client based in the Kettering area. Our client is a successful, long-established market leader supplying products to the building industry.
Summary of the Supply Chain Planner’s role:
This role is all about keeping materials moving smoothly from Purchase Order through to Production and Operations, making sure suppliers deliver on time and in full so production runs without disruption. As Supply Chain Planner, you’ll monitor and manage inventory levels to make sure materials are available when needed, without overstocking or creating unnecessary cost, while tracking supplier performance, coordinating imports and supporting wider logistics projects across the business.
The day to day duties of the Supply Chain Planner:
You’ll work closely with the team to manage Purchase Orders, keeping supply aligned with changing demand and checking lead times, order sizes and configurations to make sure plans stay realistic.
You’ll help schedule production across multiple product lines, issue works orders, and maintain capacity plans so teams have accurate commitment dates. When plans shift, you’ll adjust accordingly to keep operations running smoothly.
Building strong supplier relationships is a key part of the role. You’ll track performance, flag potential issues early, and look for ways to improve processes. Analysing data and identifying trends will help drive continuous improvement day to day.
There’s also a logistics and compliance element, covering imports and exports, freight bookings, customs paperwork, tariffs, and keeping everything documented and ready for audits.
You’ll collaborate with teams across the business to communicate delays, solve problems, and support ad hoc supply chain projects as needed.
Please apply today to learn more and be considered and shortlisted.
