Job Description:
Portfolio Payrolls are currently working with a large accountancy practice in the Wigan area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their team. Working for an established business, the client is looking for someone with bureau/client payroll experience on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the payroll manager you will be responsible for processing a high-volume payroll across various frequencies as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
*End-to-end processing of client payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis using Payrite
*Managing payroll queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently
*Setting up new payroll clients
*Setting up pension schemes
*Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements including RTI submissions and auto-enrolment
*Processing statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP
*Preparing payroll journals and liaising with clients’ accountants as necessary
*Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and industry changes
Desirable skills and attributes:
*Previous experience in client payroll (Bureau/ Practice)
*Confident Communicator
*Good eye for detail, and can work with precision
*Ability to work to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
*Able to work independently and collaboratively
