Job Description:
Learning Support Assistant - Chesham, Buckinghamshire
Support students with additional needs in a supportive and inclusive secondary environment.
Tradewind is recruiting a compassionate and pro-active Learning Support Assistant in Chesham, Buckinghamshire for a forward-thinking secondary academy with a strong commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.
The role focuses on supporting students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The school offers:
*A supportive pastoral culture
*Strong SEN and inclusion teams
*Clear behaviour expectations and structured support systems
*A focus on personal development alongside academic progress
Key duties:
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs
*Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and organisation
*Support students with social, emotional or behavioural needs
*Work closely with teachers, SENCo and pastoral staff
*Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning
We’re looking for someone who:
*Has experience supporting young people or SEN (school, care, youth work or similar)
*Is patient, resilient and adaptable
*Understands safeguarding responsibilities and KCSIE requirements
*Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one)
