Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Finance Director on behalf of a growing, high-performing professional services business based in Yorkshire. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for financial strategy, operational finance, internal controls and driving commercial performance across a diverse portfolio.
The organisation is scaling quickly and requires an experienced, strategic Finance Director who can operate as a true business partner to the Group CFO, UK CEO and the wider SLT.
The Role
As Finance Director, you will lead the full financial agenda for the UK business, including:
*Developing and executing the financial strategy
*Leading budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
*Overseeing internal controls and financial governance
*Driving financial performance analysis and insight for the Board
*Leading both Finance and Procurement teams
*Supporting commercial pricing strategy
*Cash management, including client monies held in escrow
*Ensuring robust compliance, accounting policies and risk management
*Working cross-functionally with commercial, sales and operations to support growth
*Leading, developing and mentoring a high-performing finance team
This is a broad, hands-on and strategically important leadership role within a business undergoing positive change and investment.
The Ideal Candidate:
*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
*Experienced at senior finance leadership level within a commercially focused environment
*Strong across budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting
*Commercially minded, with experience supporting pricing and supplier negotiations
*A proven leader who has developed and grown high-performing finance teams
*A confident communicator, able to influence at Board level
*Highly proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel
*Lives within a commutable distance of Halifax
