Minibus / Coach Driver
Type: Adhoc and Temporary to Permanent
Location: Based in Lowestoft
Hours: 18–30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, during school terms) Also weekend work and working outside of school term can be available and flexible working hours can be required.
Salary: £14.00 per hour
We are seeking a professional and experienced Minibus Driver to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of school children. This role offers flexible hours between 18–30 per week and a competitive hourly rate of £14.00.
Key Responsibilities:
*Safely transport students to and from school in an assigned minibus.
*Follow designated routes and timetables with punctuality and care.
*Perform daily pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
*Maintain the cleanliness, fuelling, and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
*Keep accurate records of journeys, mileage, and any maintenance performed.
*Comply with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
*Effectively manage student behaviour to ensure a safe and pleasant journey.
*Report incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to the appropriate team.


Qualifications & Requirements:
*A valid commercial D or D1 driver’s license (Both would be an advantage) with a CPC Driver Qualification Card.
*A clean driving record with no major violations.
*At least 2 years of experience driving a minibus or similar passenger vehicle.
*Knowledge of local roads and school routes in the Lowestoft area.
*Excellent driving skills and a proven safety record.
*Strong communication, organisation, and time management abilities.
*Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check.
