Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Northampton
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
A well-established ground investigation consultancy in Northampton is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers a strong mix of site and office work, working across infrastructure, residential, and commercial projects throughout the UK.
You’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle, from site supervision and ground investigation through to data interpretation and report writing. This is a great opportunity to develop both your fieldwork experience and technical reporting skills, with ongoing support and training from an experienced team.
You’ll be joining a supportive environment where you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of projects while progressing your technical and professional development.
The Role
*Managing and supervising ground investigations
*Soil and rock logging
*Preparing factual and interpretative reports
*Carrying out site inspections and risk assessments
*Monitoring site works and liaising with contractors
*Supporting senior engineers on larger schemes
Requirements
*Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
*Previous ground investigation or consultancy experience
*Strong report writing skills
*Full UK driving licence
*Good communication and teamwork skills
