Job Description:
Title: Buyer
Location: Shipley
Salary: up to £35,000
Elevation Recruitment Group’s Procurement & Supply Chain division are supporting a growing Manufacturer in Shipley in their search for an experienced Buyer.
The Buyer will work alongside the Senior Buyer to support buying and negotiating across a broad range of SKUs and categories. Alongside joining a supportive Manager, the Buyer will receive a flexible working arrangement as well as:
*Competitive salary of £33,000 - £35,000
*37.5-hour working week with flex-e-time
*Private medical cover
*13:00 finish on Fridays
*Gym membership discount
Key duties of the Buyer will include:
*Negotiating prices with suppliers and placing purchase orders, ensuring delivery promises are maintained
*Engaging with project and engineering teams to communicate and improve delivery schedules
*Reviewing and developing suppliers, negotiating contracts with new and existing suppliers
*Working cross-functionally with business units to improve processes and update systems accordingly
Key Skills & Experience required:
*Experience in procurement within a manufacturing / engineering environment
*Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills
*Ability to work collaboratively within teams and engage with various business units
*A problem-solving mindset with strategic thinking and planning capabilities
*A proactive approach to suggesting and implementing process improvements
