This company is a long-established, family-owned UK manufacturer specialising in sports and leisure surfacing. With roots dating back to 1873, it produces needlepunch, tufted and woven surfaces in-house from its Yorkshire facility, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation to serve contractors, architects, and sports organisations nationwide.


On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturer of artificial sports and leisure surfaces, supplying projects across tennis, football, rugby, hockey, MUGA and playground applications. With a strong reputation and consistent investment in product development, the business is seeking a commercially focused Area Sales Manager to strengthen its presence across the South of England.


This role would suit a proactive sales professional who enjoys developing long-term client relationships, identifying live projects, and managing the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order.


The Role
*Identifying and tracking live projects through architects, consultants, contractors, and end users
*Preparing and negotiating quotations for surfacing solutions
*Building and developing strong relationships with specialist surface contractors
*Promoting products to architects, sports clubs, schools, and community organisations
*Monitoring competitor activity and regional market trends
*Collaborating with the Sales Director and national sales team to drive growth strategy


The Person
*Proven experience in field-based sales (ideally within sports, surfacing, landscaping, or construction products)
*Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across the South
