HGV Class 2 Driver – Birmingham, West Midlands
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
Shifts
• Monday to Saturday
• AM starts between 07:00 – 10:00
Rates of Pay
• £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)
• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• Valid UK Category C driving licence
• Minimum of 24 months’ experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
• Valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills
• Strong understanding of UK traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided
• Driver assessment must be completed prior to starting
• One-day paid induction following successful assessment
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
