Temporary Orthopaedic Medical Typist - Immediate Start
Location: Washington (fully office-based)
Pay: £13.30 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (30-min unpaid lunch). Full-time or part-time within stated hours
Contract: Approx. 1 month initially, potential to extend
Parking: Free on-site parking
Checks Required: Standard DBS + references

About the Role
We are recruiting for a Temporary Orthopaedic Medical Typist to join a busy clinical department. This role is an ASAP start and will begin as a one-month assignment, with the possibility of extension based on service needs.
This is a pure audio-typing position, requiring recent experience of working in Orthopaedics, exceptional accuracy and the ability to interpret clinical dictation confidently. You will be responsible for transcribing high-quality medical correspondence within Orthopaedics.
Key Responsibilities
*Audio typing clinical letters from dictation
*Producing accurate, timely and professional medical correspondence
*Interpreting and using appropriate medical terminology
*Ensuring confidentiality at all times
*Supporting consultants with administrative typing tasks
Essential Requirements
*Previous Orthopaedic medical secretary experience
*Strong and proven audio typing skills
*Excellent understanding of medical terminology
*Confident interpreting detailed clinical dictation
*Ability to start immediately
*Subject to DBS and reference checks
*Right to work in the UK
