Job Description:
Salary: £95-£100 per day
Start Date: February/March 2026
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, full-time, term time only
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young learners aged 3-5 at the very start of their educational journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment where children feel confident, engaged, and eager to learn.
The Role:
*Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences
*Providing targeted phonics support through small group and one-to-one interventions
*Assisting with classroom preparation, organisation, and displays
*Encouraging positive behaviour, social development, and independence
*Observing and recording pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*A minimum of one year’s experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an EYFS classroom (Nursery or Reception)
*Strong phonics knowledge and practical experience
*A sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A caring, patient, and proactive approach
