Tradewind Recruitment, Manchester’s leading education agency, is seeking an experienced and dedicated KS2 Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in South Manchester.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Autism, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to help them achieve their full potential in a highly supportive and inclusive school environment.
The Role:
*Provide 1:1 support for KS2 pupils with Autism

*Deliver small group interventions tailored to individual learning needs

*Support pupils’ academic progress, emotional development, and independence

*Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team

*Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:*Experienced supporting children with Autism, ideally within KS2

*Proactive and able to use initiative

*Patient, nurturing, and understanding

*Supportive, reliable, and committed

*Confident delivering targeted interventions

Requirements:*Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting SEN

*Strong understanding of Autism and effective support strategies

*Excellent communication and teamwork skills

*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
