They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and continuous improvement of mechanical components and assemblies. Working closely with the R&D and production teams, you will ensure designs are accurate, manufactural and delivered within tight turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
• Support R&D engineers with rapid design modifications and prototype development
• Translate concepts into fully manufactural designs
• Participate in assembly processes including plastic moulding, PCB integration and metal fabrication
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost and manufacturing requirements
• Provide hands-on engineering support during production and assembly
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
• BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of assembly processes, including plastic moulding and PCBs
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
• A proactive and practical engineering mind-set
