Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior / Accounts AssistantAlton * £30,000-£40,000
Are you looking to build your career within a supportive and well-established accountancy practice? This Alton-based firm is looking to strengthen its Business Services & Audit team with an enthusiastic professional who enjoys variety, client contact and developing their technical skills.
Your New RoleYou’ll join a friendly and collaborative team, working across a blend of accounts, audit, bookkeeping and tax tasks depending on your background. Typical responsibilities include:
*Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
*Assisting with statutory audits, contributing to planning and fieldwork
*Preparing VAT returns, management accounts and bookkeeping
*Drafting corporation and business tax computations
*Managing your own workflow, delivering accurate work to deadlines
*Supporting ad hoc assignments and wider business services projects
*Building positive client relationships via email, phone and face-to-face contact
This role can flex depending on your experience - whether you’re more accounts-focused or looking to grow your audit exposure.What You’ll Need to Succeed
*Experience within an accountancy practice (audit and/or accounts)
*Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
*Confident communication skills and a professional approach
*Good IT literacy; experience with cloud bookkeeping packages is helpful
*Studying or keen to study AAT/ACCA/ACA (or qualified by experience)
