Head of Transactions - M&A ExecutionLocation: East Midlands (Hybrid - 2 days office-based)
Salary: £95,000-£115,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits
The OpportunityThis is a rare chance to join a high-growth, private equity-backed organisation at a pivotal moment in its expansion. Working directly with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will play a defining role in shaping the group’s acquisition agenda, driving disciplined execution, and ensuring each deal delivers strategic and financial impact. This is an ideal move for someone currently in buy-side M&A, Private Equity, or Transaction Services who is ready to step into a leadership role with genuine influence.
Role OverviewAs Head of Transactions, you will take full ownership of the deal lifecycle-from initial assessment through to integration-ensuring that acquisitions are executed with rigour, pace, and strategic alignment. You will be a trusted partner to the CFO, providing insight, challenge, and high-quality analysis to support decision-making at board and shareholder level.
Key Responsibilities*Lead financial modelling, valuation work, and commercial analysis of acquisition opportunities
*Manage and coordinate due diligence across internal teams and external advisers
*Support deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation (SPA, offer letters, heads of terms)
*Work closely with operational leaders to ensure smooth post-deal integration and synergy delivery
*Prepare and present investment cases, strategic insights, and recommendations to the CFO, senior leadership, and shareholders
Candidate Profile*ACA qualified or Qualified by expereince
*Currently operating at Assistant Director or Junior Director level in buy-side M&A, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or Transaction Services role
*Strong technical grounding in valuation methodologies, DCF, net debt, and working capital
*Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
*High energy, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment
*Collaborative, influential, and able to work closely with senior stakeholders, particularly the CFO
