Job Description:
Behaviour Mentor - Middlesbrough
Veritas Education are currently working with a variety of different Special Needs/SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) as well as mainstream settings across the Middlesbrough area.
*Have you previously worked in a mainstream or special needs school supporting children and young adults displaying challenging behaviour?
*Have you supported vulnerable children in a care or foster setting?
*Or have you got previous experience of sports coaching a wide range of children in various age groups from a variety of backgrounds and abilities?
If so, becoming a behaviour mentor could be the ideal new role for you!
The ideal candidate would be….
*Someone who is reliable, trustworthy, and committed to the role
*Has a good understanding of supporting children and young people from various backgrounds and needs
*Has previous experience working with children or adults experiencing challenging or at-risk behaviour
*Is confident managing behaviour and supporting within a school environment
Schools are always keen to meet new TA’s, support staff and behaviour mentors, especially anyone who has come from either a care, support worker, coaching or university background!
