Compliance Officer
Leading Regional Law Firm
Berkshire
Up to £45k
We’re currently working with a fabulous leading regional law firm with offices across Buckinghamshire, and london looking for for a Compliance Officer to join a well-established compliance function.
This is a great opportunity for someone with solid compliance experience who enjoys being hands-on and working across a broad range of regulatory matters. You’ll be joining a structured Risk & Compliance function and will play a key role in supporting the firm’s ongoing regulatory and risk management obligations.
The role?
*Client onboarding and ongoing due diligence
*Reviewing AML documentation and supporting SAR reporting to the MLRO
*Source of Funds / Source of Wealth investigations
*Admin support for Credas / EIDV systems, including user access and queries
*Monitoring PEPs and sanctions alerts
*Managing and responding to complaints, including Legal Ombudsman matters
*Advising on GDPR and data protection issues
*Supporting regulatory audits and accreditations, including corrective actions
*Updating and maintaining policies and procedures
*Managing the Risk inbox (AML, conflicts, complaints, claims, data breaches, queries)
*Coaching colleagues through compliance processes
*Researching regulatory updates from the SRA / Law Society
*Maintaining sanctions lists and monitoring undertakings
*Supporting price transparency reviews
*Assisting with CQS accreditation and compliance training
*General risk and compliance administration
About you?
*2–5 years’ experience in a law firm or professional services environment
*Strong understanding of AML and regulatory requirements
*Confident communicator with a practical, can-do approach
*Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
