Job Title: Roofing Assessor – unqualified Assessor opportunity
*Trainee or Qualified Assessor Opportunity*
Location: West Midlands - Centre based
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Type: Full Time, Permanent
Are you an experienced roofer in the Walsall area with strong skills in waterproofing or sheeting and cladding?
This is a great opportunity to take your career in a new direction, and use the knowledge you’ve built on-site to guide the next generation of roofing apprentices!
You’ll receive full training to become a qualified assessor, along with excellent support, and the chance to develop professionally in a centre-based role.
Duties:
*Assess and support learners working towards full Apprenticeships in Roofing (level 2), delivering either: Waterproof and Membrane and/or Sheeting and Cladding (depending on competency).
*Deliver full training and support learners through their Functional Skills - Maths, English and ICT to level 2.
*Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours
*Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and completions.
*Support learners through the End Point Assessment Process.
*Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
*Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
Essential Criteria:
*Must hold solid occupational competency within Roofing (specifically waterproof and sheeting/cladding competencies).
*Ideally hold (or willing to work towards) a recognised teaching/assessing qualification: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.
Personal Skills:
*Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
*Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
*Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
