Job Description:
Mondrian Alpha is exclusively partnering with a boutique London-based hedge fund to secure an experienced Fund Controller. This role offers broad exposure, encompassing end-to-end responsibilities and reporting directly to the COO.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of fund accounting alongside selected management company reporting. On the fund accounting side, you will collaborate closely with fund administrators and assume full ownership of fund reporting for the firm’s core funds and selected separately managed accounts (SMAs). Additional responsibilities include preparing financial statements for entities across the UK and other jurisdictions and performing bookkeeping duties. A critical part of the role involves proactively streamlining and automating operational processes, aligning with the firm’s continuous improvement ethos.
This opportunity arises at a pivotal moment of growth for the firm, which boasts an impressive 15+ year track record of success with loyal investors. As they expand, the role will naturally evolve, offering increasing complexity and career advancement potential.
The firm seeks a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA) with at least 6 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in open-ended fund structures, FX hedging, and have comprehensive knowledge of UCITS frameworks, options, and equities.
In return, the fund offers a highly competitive remuneration package and strong bonus potential. The firm is renowned for attracting top-tier talent within the alternative investment sector and has excellent employee retention.
