Parts Supervisor
*Annual Salary: £35,000 - £37,000
*Location: Exeter
*Job Type: Full-time (40 hours)
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Parts Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of our client’s parts department. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is crucial in supervising staff, controlling workflows, and driving parts growth to meet and exceed the organisation’s goals.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Supervise and motivate staff to ensure a professional and efficient service, enhancing customer retention.
*Oversee the parts department operations to maximise profitability and meet budget expectations.
*Expand online sales channels, such as eBay, to maximise profit and customer service.
*Maintain optimal stock levels to support efficient department operations.
*Foster a positive working environment, leading by example to motivate and inspire the team.
*Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
*Train and develop staff to enhance performance and ensure high service standards.
*Manage security measures for all company properties and assets.
*Conduct regular staff appraisals, coordinate with management on training needs, and oversee staff performance.
*Implement and manage stock checking processes, including perpetual checks and investigations into stock discrepancies.
*Ensure the organisation and tidiness of the parts reception and warehouse areas.
*Coordinate and manage the activities of parts delivery drivers.
*Ensure all cash invoices are processed and cleared daily.
*Promote and stimulate sales of manufacturers’ parts through various channels, achieving monthly sales targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in parts management or a similar supervisory role within the automotive or related industry.
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Experience in online sales platforms like eBay is highly desirable.
*Ability to train and develop staff effectively.
*Knowledge of stock management and security protocols.
*Proficiency in using industry-related software and systems.
