Finance Analyst – Direct Payment Support Services
Location: Hybrid / Office-Based
Contract: Permanent | Hours: Full-time
About the Service
Our Direct Payment Support Service provides information, advice and managed account support to individuals receiving Direct Payments, helping them maintain choice and control over their care arrangements.

Some people choose our organisation to administer their Direct Payments, meaning we hold their funds securely and arrange agreed outgoing payments on their behalf.
As this service area is still growing, the role plays a key part in developing financial reporting processes, understanding stakeholder needs and ensuring accurate and timely information is provided.
Key Responsibilities
*Collate and analyse financial data relating to managed accounts.
*Develop and implement a risk-rating and monitoring approach.
*Produce regular financial reports for service users.
*Provide scheduled and ad-hoc reporting, including KPIs, to commissioners.
*Oversee and sign off the weekly Direct Payments pay run.
*Support the development of the Direct Payment Support team.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a joined-up customer service.
*Raise invoices for DBS cost recovery where required.
*Support the annual external audit process.
*Maintain governance, policies and procedures.
*Provide cover for other finance roles during absence.
*Contribute positively to organisational values and goals.
Working Arrangements
Hybrid working with time spent in the office (location shared at application stage).

*Demonstrate good knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
*DBS check required.
*Maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR.

Person Specification
Qualifications
*GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or equivalent in English & Maths (Essential).
*Part-qualified or fully qualified with a recognised accounting body (Desirable).
Skills & Experience
*Strong experience analysing and presenting financial information (Essential).
*Experience in management accounting or finance business partnering (Desirable).
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (Essential).
*High accuracy and attention to detail (Essential).
*Proactive and able to use own initiative (Essential).
*Excellent IT skills, especially Excel and MS Office (Essential).
*Clear, confident communication with a range of users (Essential).
*Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders (Essential).
*Experience working to tight deadlines (Essential).
*Willingness to learn and take on new challenges (Essential).
*Experience designing and embedding new processes (Desirable).
*Knowledge of Adult Social Care (Desirable).
