Job Description:
Purchase Ledger Clerk - Thirsk
c£30,000 FTE
Campbell Grove Talent are recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a business that truly delivers on flexibility and work-life balance, while offering the stability of a permanent position.
Commitments outside of work? They understand, support it, and have built a working environment that reflects real life.
There is also the option to work a 4 day week if needed
Their Finance Director has created a team culture that’s supportive, forward-thinking, and genuinely people-focused. The people who thrive here are those who want to do great work without sacrificing everything else to do it.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the purchase ledger function end-to-end. You’ll be the key point of contact for suppliers and internal teams, ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately, and on time across two ordering systems.
The role is based onsite, as collaboration and relationships are central to how the business operates. However, the company offers flexibility in how your working hours are structured, and finishing late is very much the exception, not the norm. You’ll be trusted to manage your workload and time effectively.
What your days will look like:
*Processing and registering supplier invoices
*Resolving queries, including invoice discrepancies, credit requests, and purchase order issues
*Creating and reviewing payment runs
*Managing supplier statements, proformas, final demands, and copy invoices
*Producing accruals and prepayments from the external purchasing system
*Building strong working relationships with on-site teams, production managers, and senior stakeholders
You’ll fit right in if you:
*Have solid purchase ledger experience and are confident using finance systems
*Have strong attention to detail and take pride in accuracy
*Can manage multiple priorities effectively
*Work well both independently and as part of a team
*Take initiative and enjoy solving problems
If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you’ve been looking for, please apply with your CV or contact Emma Dugdale or Lucy Regan for a confidential chat.
