Job Description:
Clinical Administrator
*Salary: £13.45 p/h
*6 weeks Temporary
*Hours: 8:30-5:15 or 8:45-5:30
*Job Type: Full-time
*Location: Truro
We are seeking a dedicated Administrator to play a crucial role in managing patient data and communications within our client’s healthcare facility. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support.
Day-to-day of the Administrator:
*Cleanse and maintain accurate patient wait lists using the Dentally Patient Management System.
*Input and transfer data between systems with high precision and attention to detail.
*Make outbound calls to patients and carers, ensuring professional phone etiquette and handling sensitive information with discretion.
*Liaise effectively with internal teams, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders to support patient care and administrative processes.
*Capture patient notes, data, and correspondence efficiently and accurately.
*Work to agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance targets, maintaining productivity and data accuracy.
*Maintain confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies, including GDPR.
*Identify and escalate issues or inconsistencies in patient records to the appropriate clinical or administrative team.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the Administrator:
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with sensitivity when handling confidential information.
*Professional phone manner and commitment to delivering a positive patient experience.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Proficiency with patient management systems (experience with Dentally preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Professionalism, discretion, and understanding of confidentiality requirements.
*Strong organisational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
*Ability to meet performance targets and KPIs consistently.
*Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
Experience:
*Previous experience in administration, ideally within a healthcare or patient-facing environment.
*Experience handling sensitive information and working with patient data.
*Familiarity with KPIs, targets, and performance-driven objectives is desirable.
