Job Description:
As part of this highly successful, global organisation, the UK business now requires a HR Advisor, who will provide generalist HR advisory support to operational managers, supervisors and employees, across two of their UK business units.
The successful candidate will be engaged on a fixed term contract basis for up to 9 months.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of HR Operations and Commercial, as the HR Advisor, the role will have responsibility for, but not limited to:
*acting as the primary HR advisory contact for operational leaders and employees within two business units
*managing early-stage employee relations issues, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures; provide training where gaps exist
*providing proactive HR support to address operational challenges effectively
*overseeing end-to-end recruitment and the Talent Acquisition model is applied effectively
*actively identify early talent hiring opportunities to address future skill gaps and succession needs
*supporting line managers with local induction arrangements as required
*identifying and implementing initiatives to improve employee engagement across the site
*leading and promoting new initiatives impacting operational teams
*contributing to continuous improvement of HR documentation, policies, and procedures
*reporting on key HR KPIs and providing insights to operational leadership
*ensuring adherence to company policies and acting as a role model for professional conduct and consistency
The Candidate:
Ideally of graduate standard, candidates for the HR Advisor FTC role will have had previous experience of working within a generalist HR advisory role. Candidates will also preferably have achieved, or be working towards their further CIPD qualifications.
In addition, candidates for this FTC role will be required to demonstrate that they have:
*solid planning and organisational skills, with a close attention to detail
*previously worked within a complex or multi-national organisation
*previous experience of working with Trade Unions
*advanced knowledge of MS software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
*a working knowledge of HR information systems
*excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to success
*the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
Candidates for the HR Advisor role should also be:
*a pro-active, hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative and has a positive, professional attitude
*a strong, customer focused individual with the presence and ability to communicate, motivate and influence at the highest level
*capable of working as part of a team or under your own initiative to meet required targets and deadlines
Candidates should note that there will be some travel to other UK business sites with this role.
