Job Description:
A division of a successful international manufacturing company are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their team. The company works to world class standards and are renowned leaders of their field. This role will be a fantastic opportunity for a high achieving Graduate in a Mechanical Engineering discipline who is still early in their career and who would like excellent exposure and career development opportunity.
The role
The Project Engineer role is hands on and extremely varied. Some of the key elements are as follows:
*Interact with the customer throughout the life of the project
*Manage the progression through the R&D phase, including design iterations, experimentation and sample production
*Conduct research to identify solutions
*Guide the product design process, with assistance from colleagues
*Specify technical product testing and validate production methods
*Liaise with suppliers regarding material sourcing
*Create test plans and oversee test process
*Work closely with Production
The ideal candidate
To be considered you will be likely have a strong degree in an Engineering discipline, almost certainly Mechanical Engineering, to have a good understanding of how materials behave.
Personal traits will include a very high attention to detail, self confidence and motivation and an ambitious, inquisitive nature. The team is fantastic and will expect you to be a genuine team player with humility and a down to earth nature.
