This is an exciting opportunity for a Personal Tax Manager to join a boutique firm in Bristol. The role requires expertise in managing personal tax matters and providing exceptional service to clients.

Description
*Manage your own portfolio of advisory-led personal tax projects, delivering clear, tailored solutions for a diverse range of private clients.
*Provide technical input across planning, structuring and mitigation work, ensuring advice is commercially focused and technically robust.
*Prepare detailed technical analyses and reports, presenting recommendations in a client-friendly format.
*Handle HMRC enquiries and investigative matters, drafting responses and managing correspondence through to resolution.
*Develop strong working relationships with clients, acting as a trusted adviser on day-to-day and project-based tax matters.
*Proactively identify opportunities for tax efficiencies, risk reduction, or further advisory work that would benefit clients.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal tax legislation and apply it effectively to advisory projects.
*Work collaboratively with senior colleagues on more complex or high-value assignments, contributing insight and technical reasoning.
*Liaise with colleagues across other service lines to support joined-up delivery of wider client engagements.
Profile
A successful Personal Tax Manager should have:
*Solid technical understanding of personal tax and an ability to apply legislation confidently in an advisory context.
*Previous experience working with private client portfolios, ideally within a tax advisory or mixed-tax environment.
*A self-motivated, proactive approach with the confidence to drive projects forward independently.
*CTA, or equivalent qualified / strong relevant experience.
*Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce clear, well-reasoned technical advice.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients in a boutique, relationship-driven setting.
*High attention to detail and a methodical working style, ensuring accuracy across all advisory outputs.
*Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple advisory projects and maintain momentum without close oversight.
*A collaborative mindset, working effectively with senior colleagues and contributing positively to the wider team.
