SEN Teacher – Gravesend
Full-Time | Competitive Salary
Are you a passionate, dedicated, and creative SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference?

Do you thrive in a supportive environment where every day offers the chance to change a young person’s life for the better?
We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our specialist provision in Gravesend, supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as associated learning difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to empower young people to achieve their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
*Deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning styles and EHCP requirements.
*Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may have faced previous barriers to learning.
*Work closely with a strong support team—including behaviour mentors, teaching assistants, and therapy staff—to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
*Implement strategies that promote resilience, self-confidence, and emotional regulation.
*Track progress, set personalised targets, and celebrate every success—no matter how big or small.
*Encourage positive behaviour and develop pupils’ social and communication skills through structured routines and restorative approaches.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you are:
*A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision.
*Compassionate, calm, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
*Creative in your teaching approach and confident differentiating learning to meet diverse needs.
*Skilled in behaviour management, de-escalation, and relationship-focused teaching strategies.
*An excellent communicator who thrives within a collaborative team.
*Motivated to help pupils re-engage with learning and develop essential life skills.
What We Offer
*Competitive salary.
*Small class sizes and high levels of support.
*A positive, close-knit team that values wellbeing and professional growth.
*Ongoing CPD, including training in trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches, and specialist SEN strategies.
*A warm, friendly environment where staff feel respected, valued, and listened to.
*The chance to genuinely transform young lives and be part of a setting that celebrates progress in all its forms.
