Academics are supporting several high-achieving secondary schools across Essex who are looking to appoint a committed English Teacher for roles in Chelmsford from April 2026, or earlier where available.
As an English Teacher in Chelmsford, you will design and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3-KS4, meeting the needs of varied learners while playing a key role in school life. Schools in Chelmsford foster teamwork, innovation, and continuous professional development.
Role Overview:
* Confident English Teacher teaching KS3-KS4.
* Excellent subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.
* Full-time, Monday to Friday.
* Contract may continue through to the Summer term.
* Experience supporting challenging behaviour welcomed but not essential.
Person Specification:
* Clear and structured teaching approach.
* Passion for raising attainment in English.
* Experience teaching in a secondary setting at KS3-KS4.
* UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or 4+ years’ overseas secondary experience.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
* Adaptable, motivated, and committed to education.
* Determined to positively influence young people’s futures.
* A strong role model who builds confidence and resilience.
