Controls Engineer (R&D / Manufacturing)
£55,000 - £65,000 + Hybrid + Bonus + 33 Days Holiday + Company Benefits

Are you a Controls Engineer or similar looking for a stimulating new challenge working at the forefront of manufacturing technology, involved heavily in the R&D of special purpose machinery and delivering technical support to Engineers across the globe?
Are you looking to be recognised as a technical expert within a niche field, with plenty of scope to implement your knowledge of PLCs to drive a reputable company into the future?
In this varied role you will be debugging and problem solving on software, then liaising with 3 parties to fix issues within special purpose machinery. Using primarily TIA Portal, Siemens S7 and Ladder Logic, you will be providing customer support and assisting Service Engineers globally, with occasional travel to sites as needed.
Founded 40 years ago, this design and manufacturing company are investing heavily into the future and pushing to become leaders in their niche market, exporting their machinery globally. This role would suit a Controls Engineer or similar looking to for a varied role where no two days are the same, involved in all aspects of R&D for new machinery in an office-based role.
The Role:
*Identifying issues and debugging PLCs, using TIA Portal, Siemens S7 and Ladder Logic
*Developing special purpose machinery through R&D
*Liaising with global Service Engineers and 3 parties
*Office based, 1 day from home, some travel to customer sites
*Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:20pm, finish at 3:20pm on Friday
The Person:
*Controls/Systems Engineer or similar
*Able to read and modify PLC code
*Looking for a primarily office-based role
