Brake Press Operator - Temp to Perm Location: Lancing, West Sussex

*Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
*Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
*Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Overview We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join a well-established manufacturing team based in Lancing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sheet metal or engineering production experience who is looking for a long-term role with consistent hours and great working conditions.
The successful candidate will operate CNC Brake Press machinery to produce high-quality metal components, working to drawings and ensuring accuracy throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities *Set up, operate, and adjust CNC Brake Press machinery.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
*Carry out quality checks on finished products using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
*Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job.
*Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all H&S procedures.
*Identify and report any machine issues or production defects.
*Work as part of a friendly and efficient production team to meet deadlines and output targets.
Skills & Experience Required *Previous experience operating a CNC Brake Press (Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, or similar).
*Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
*Strong attention to detail and quality control.
*Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
*Ability to work independently and within a team.
*Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment.
