Job Description:
Our client, a leading business in their sector, is seeking a Service Administrator to join their team based in Tadcaster.
This role is vital in ensuring the smooth coordination of service operations, accurate administration, and high-quality customer support.
As a Service Administrator, you will support the service team with daily administrative duties, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely handling of documentation and invoicing. You’ll play a key part in helping the department deliver outstanding service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
*Handle incoming customer enquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member
*Open, manage, and track work orders from start to completion
*Prepare service documentation including invoices, purchase orders, and reports
*Check and finalise job cards and work orders for accuracy and completeness
*Maintain up-to-date department records, filing systems, and databases
*Coordinate warranty claim processes
*Schedule training sessions and manage attendance and certification records
*Support the Service Manager with administrative and operational tasks
*Take on additional duties as required to support the department’s objectives
*Represent the business with professionalism and strong customer service skills
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and general digital competency
*Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
*Confident communicator, both written and verbal
*Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
*Proactive approach to problem-solving and task management
Desirable:
*Experience using service or dealer management systems
*Knowledge of warranty processes
*Background in a service, engineering, agricultural, automotive, or technical environment
