We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Product Manager, Emerging Payments.
Our Emerging Payments Team’s focus is to evolve our payments, settlements, and currencies clearing products with emerging business models, technologies, and partnerships.
You’ll be part of the global emerging payments product team and have the opportunity to evolve our product offerings, innovate new propositions, and help build the money and payment system for the future.
As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.
In this role you’ll:
*Be responsible for the emerging payments and settlement services product portfolio and develop new products and propositions
*Identify and evaluate market trend in emerging payments, Digital Merchant Services, Open Banking, digital currencies and asset opportunities, and commercialise these emerging payments products and propositions
*Lead product solutioning for specific Request for Proposals and bespoke client requirements
*Support internal teams and external market participants, including regulators, in relation to consultation, proof-of-concept projects, pilots, and other industry collaborations
*Assess and address inherent and residue risks of new emerging payments products and propositions by following the required product governance processes
*Create and respond to opportunities to promote our leading position in emerging payments, digital currencies and assets agenda
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
*An understanding of the European payments landscape, especially with regards to Digital Merchant Services, Open Banking and other emerging products and propositions
*Keen appreciation and insights of digital currencies and assets market trends, competition offerings, potential disruptors, evolving regulations and technologies
*Ability to effectively work in a diverse and multicultural team with remote working arrangement
*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
*Excellent communication ability, written and verbal, to explain complex ideas simply in client centric language, including data requirements
Opening up a world of opportunity.
Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve. At HSBC, we’re dedicated to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces - no matter their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or age. We are committed to removing barriers and ensuring careers at HSBC are inclusive and accessible for everyone to be at their best. We take pride in being a Disability Confident Leader and will offer an interview to people with disabilities, long term conditions or neurodivergent candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
