Responsibilities of this role:
*Lead the statutory review process for Wigan’s approved foster carers, including organising, advising, and chairing review meetings.
*Ensure the Local Authority fulfils its statutory duties in relation to fostering reviews.
*Provide professional advice and guidance to foster carers and practitioners.
*Offer scrutiny and constructive challenge to ensure high-quality assessments, supervision, support, and CPD.
*Monitor compliance with statutory visiting, training, and foster carer standards.
*Promote and track positive outcomes for children in foster care.
*Produce clear, evidence-based review reports with recommendations.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
