Job Description:
Area Sales Representative
We are seeking experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join the growing team in Suffolk. This role is ideal for professionals who have successfully sold capital equipment into the food industry and who are now looking for a fresh challenge within a well-established, respected, and expanding organisation.
You will be responsible for driving equipment sales across existing and new clients, providing technical product knowledge, and developing long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to negotiation and close.
*Proactively identify new business opportunities across the food manufacturing sector.
*Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with clients ranging from SMEs to major manufacturers.
*Understand customer production requirements and recommend suitable machinery or solutions.
*Prepare proposals, quotations, and equipment specifications.
*Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
*Attend site visits, trade shows, and customer demonstrations when required.
*Maintain accurate CRM records and provide sales reporting to the leadership team.
Experience & Skills Required
*Proven experience selling capital equipment into the food processing / food manufacturing sector.
*Strong commercial acumen and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
*Ability to understand complex machinery and convey technical details clearly.
*Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
*Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage your own sales pipeline.
*Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
