Trainee Accountant
*Job Type: Full-time
*Location: Lowestoft
*Salary: Competitive, based on experience
We are seeking a Trainee Accountant who is eager to begin their career in accounting and grow within our client’s company. This role is ideal for AAT studiers with 6 months to 3 years of practice experience, including school leavers open to starting an apprenticeship. Our client offers a supportive environment where you can build your own client portfolio and gain independence in your work.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare and produce draft accounts.
*Handle VAT, CIS, and PAYE processes.
*Gain exposure to tax-related tasks.
*Use accounting software such as IRIS, QuickBooks, and Xero to manage client accounts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*AAT studier or equivalent practical experience, ranging from 6 months to 3 years.
*Desire to progress within the business and build a long-term career.
*Ability to work independently without the need for micro-management.
*Some familiarity with IRIS, QuickBooks, and Xero is advantageous.
*Good communication skills and a sense of humour to fit into a relaxed work environment.
*Driving license is preferred but not essential initially.
