Job Description:
Venn Group is delighted to be recruiting for a School Receptionist on behalf of a respected independent school in Central London.
This front-of-house role is essential to ensuring the smooth daily operation of the school, delivering a warm welcome to all visitors and providing efficient administrative support to senior staff and the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide a professional, welcoming service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors
*Manage the main school phone line and reception inbox
*Oversee visitor sign-in and safeguarding procedures
*Keep reception organised, calm and presentable
*Provide confidential support to the Headteacher and School Business Manager
*Prepare letters, reports, schedules and other documentation
*Handle incoming/outgoing mail and maintain accurate pupil records
*Support production of pupil reports and complete routine office tasks
*Liaise with Catering on hospitality and visitor arrangements
*Communicate professionally with parents
*Assist with the coordination of school events
Ideal Candidate Profile
*Warm, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities
*Strong attention to detail and confident with Microsoft Office and databases
*Experience in a school or education setting is advantageous
*Discreet, proactive and able to use sound judgement
*Flexible team player with a supportive approach
Location: Central London
Duration: 4 week temporary contract, potential extension
Hourly rate: £15 - £16 per hour
Working pattern: Full-time, on site
