Location: Cardiff, Wales
Position: 1-1 Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential to extend)

The Role:
As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with a student who requires additional support. You’ll help them access the curriculum, manage any challenges they may face, and ensure they feel confident and supported in the classroom.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the student in lessons, ensuring they can fully participate and engage with the curriculum
Helping to manage behaviour and providing strategies to encourage focus and positive engagement
Promoting independence while offering the right level of guidance
Collaborating with the class teacher to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
Fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging the student’s social and emotional development
What You’ll Need:
Experience working with children, particularly in a one-on-one or small group setting (ideal, but not essential)
A strong interest in education and a desire to make a difference in a child’s learning experience
Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting children with diverse needs
Strong communication skills to work with both the student and teaching staff
A willingness to adapt to the student’s needs and contribute to their personal and academic growth
