The Role:

You will lead a class supported by skilled teaching assistants and collaborate closely with therapists and the wider SEN team.
This role requires creativity, patience, and a strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches for pupils with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver personalised, sensory-rich lessons tailored to pupils’ needs
*Develop IEPs and contribute to EHCPs
*Assess and monitor pupil progress using appropriate assessment tools
*Support communication development using strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC where appropriate
Requirements:
*QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
*Experience working in a specialist or SEN setting
*Understanding of complex learning needs and differentiated teaching strategies
*Knowledge of communication approaches such as Makaton, PECS, or visual communication systems
