SEMH Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Start Date: Immediate start
Contract: Short-term
Location: Birmingham
We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Kings Heath area who are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team on a short-term basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs and helping them access learning in a positive, structured environment.
The Role
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEMH needs
*Assist in managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation
*Work closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team
*Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
*Support students both in and out of the classroom
