Description
*Manage the tax compliance process for a portfolio of private clients, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
*Provide tailored tax planning and advisory services to meet client needs.
*Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns and related documentation.
*Advise clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax matters.
*Trust tax returns.
*Identify tax-saving opportunities and offer strategic solutions.
*Liaise with HMRC and other external stakeholders as required.
*HMRC investigations.
*Support junior team members, providing guidance and training as necessary.
*Contribute to the growth of the tax department by identifying new business opportunities.
Profile
A successful Private Client Tax Manager should have:
*Professional qualifications in tax or accountancy, such as CTA, ACA, or ACCA or be qualified by experience.
*Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations.
*Proven experience in private client tax compliance and advisory work.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to manage a portfolio of clients effectively and build strong relationships.
*Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
*Confidence in liaising with clients and external bodies, such as HMRC.
*Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
*Experience of trust returns.
