Fabric Technician
Location: Peterborough (PE1)
Contract: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a busy facilities management contract based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabric maintenance and painting & decorating experience, working within a commercial environment.

The role:
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across the site, ensuring the building is kept to a high standard and remains safe and operational at all times.
Key duties include:
*Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks
*Carrying out reactive fabric repairs
*Inspecting and repairing floors, walls, doors, windows and associated fittings
*Painting and decorating works across the site as required
*Minor repairs to freestanding and fitted furniture
*Assisting engineering staff with general maintenance tasks
*Maintaining accurate maintenance, health & safety and quality records
*Managing tools, equipment and consumable stock
*Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Contract Manager or Facilities Supervisor
What we’re looking for:
*Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or Fabric Technician
*Strong all-round fabric maintenance skillset
*Good knowledge of painting techniques and methods
*Plastering experience (advantageous but not essential)
*Sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements
*Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
