A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual ,at the beginning of their finance career as an Accounts Assistant with a well-established organisation in Hemel Hempstead. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll receive full training and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting tasks within a supportive, friendly team.
Key responsibilities
*Raising month-end sales invoices
*Credit control duties
*Coding and approving supplier invoices
*Processing credit card payments and all bank transactions
*Managing the Accounts mailbox and responding to queries
*Maintaining accurate customer records
*Preparing BACS payment runs
*Checking and processing employee expenses
*General administrative support to the finance team


What you’ll need to succeed
*Strong IT skills, especially Excel
*Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
*Good commercial awareness
*Understanding of accounting principles (training provided)
*Experience using Opera is an advantage
