Job Description:
We are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic Real Estate investment firm in London. The business has an impressive back-story and an incredible growth journey to date. With the business committed to growth, we are now seeking to identify a recently qualified accountant to join the finance team. This will be an all-encompassing role which will give exposure to all aspects of the finance function as well as taking on deal-related duties. Ideally suited to someone with a solid foundation in accounting and seeking to take a step into more commercial involvement as well as being part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

The role of Financial Accountant will take responsibility for the financial accounting and performance reporting for our rapidly growing property portfolio. The role will suit a highly organised, diligent individual looking to further their career in real estate finance.
Responsibilities
*Financial accounting responsibility, reporting jointly to the Finance Manager and FC
*Responsible for monthly financial and performance reporting to shareholders
*Maintenance and review of Propco Holdco structures including bookkeeping, monthly reporting and statutory accounts preparation
*Accounting for both investment and development properties
*Help to shape the controls and processes of the finance function
*Manage the external auditors during the year end process
*Review of year end corporation tax returns
*Preparation of monthly VAT and CIS returns for the group
*Assist with bank debt covenant reporting utilisation requests to the bank
*Assist with tax structuring, financial due diligence and transaction support for new acquisitions
*Analysis of development budgets and quarterly financial models to reflect portfolio performance
*Assist with treasury and liquidity management for the group, including cash forecasts and preparation of equity requirement forecasts
*Assist the team the migration from Sage to Yardi system
*Other ad-hoc queries from the Directors Board

Essential Skills/ Experience
*Qualified or part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
*Solid understanding of technical accounting required
*Strong academic background
*Good excel skills required
*Experience of property/construction accounting preferred
*Consolidation experience preferred
*Statutory accounts preparation
