Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Origination & Market Coverage
*Lead origination efforts across the UK and Europe, developing a pipeline of bilateral and auction-driven opportunities across core, core+ and value-add infrastructure.
*Build and leverage high-level relationships across banks, advisers, developers, corporates, government bodies, and co-investors.
*Identify sector themes, regulatory trends, and long-term opportunities to support thesis-driven sourcing.
Transaction Execution
*Oversee the full investment lifecycle, including valuation, commercial analysis, structuring, due diligence, and negotiations.
*Lead transaction workstreams and drive the preparation of investment papers and presentations for the Investment Committee.
*Manage complex deal situations including cross-border processes, consortium arrangements, carve-outs, and platform investments.
Team & Strategic Leadership
*Provide senior leadership and guidance to VP, Associate, and Analyst-level professionals.
*Contribute to the development of the firm’s European infrastructure strategy, including sector prioritisation and capital deployment planning.
*Represent the platform externally at conferences, industry events, and high-level stakeholder meetings.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
*12-15+ years of experience in infrastructure investing, private equity, project finance, or investment banking with a clear investment focus.
*Demonstrable track record of originating and executing infrastructure transactions in the UK and/or Europe.
*Strong understanding of regulated, contracted, and demand-based infrastructure business models.
*Comfort working across multiple sectors (energy systems, digital, transport, utilities, social infrastructure, etc.).
Skills & Competencies
*Exceptional financial and commercial judgment, with the ability to lead complex investments end-to-end.
*Strong negotiation skills and experience managing multi-party transaction environments.
*High executive presence with the ability to engage senior counterparties, advisors, and internal committees.
*Collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring and developing investment teams.
Education
*Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree or MBA beneficial.
Languages
*Fluent English required; additional European languages advantageous but not essential.
