Head of Finance – Residents & Housing Services (Maternity Cover)
Wembley | 36 hours per week | Until April 2027 | £296.37 PAYE / £383.64 Ltd-Umbrella (daily)
Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days WFH

We are now seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance – Residents & Housing Services to play a pivotal role in leading financial strategy across one of our most high-profile and complex portfolios.
About the Role
As part of the senior management team, you will provide strategic financial leadership across:
* Housing General Fund
* Housing Revenue Account (HRA)
* Resident Experience portfolio
* Temporary Accommodation – one of the Council’s most significant and volatile budget areas
You will work closely with:
*Elected Members
*Corporate Director of Resident Services
*Housing & Resident Experience Directors
*Senior leaders across the Council
This role requires exceptional technical expertise, commercial judgement, and the confidence to influence decision-making across a broad strategic landscape.
You will also develop strong working relationships with key partners, registered providers, contractors, and sector bodies across housing, homelessness and customer services.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a senior finance leader who can bring:
*Proven experience operating at a strategic level in a complex organisation
*Strong understanding of housing finance, HRA, and resident services
*The ability to manage high-pressure, high-value budget areas
*Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
*A proactive, solutions-focused approach to financial leadership
*Experience in public sector / housing finances would be a benefit
