Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be working with an industry leading services business based near Northwich to recruit a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for producing monthly financial reports and maintaining strong financial controls.
Responsibilities Include:
*Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis.
*Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, intercompany transactions, and foreign exchange adjustments.
*Oversee and manage the month-end close schedule in partnership with the Financial Controller.
*Deliver clear variance analysis comparisons and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Contribute to process documentation and drive continuous improvement.
*VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
*Maintain the fixed asset register, managing capitalisation and depreciation processes.
*Complete regular cashbook processing, including bank postings and reconciliations.
*Coordinate with Payroll to ensure accuracy of journals, reconciliations, and statutory submissions (RTI, PAYE, NI).
Skills Required:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
*Month end close and management accounting.
*Experience preparing VAT returns and supporting audit cycles.
*Advanced Excel skills.
