Job Description:
Maintenance Engineer - Poynton
Hours: Mon-Thu 7:30-16:00, Fri 7:30-15:30
We’re recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support a busy industrial site. You’ll handle planned and reactive maintenance, equipment repairs, statutory inspections and ensure the smooth running of key machinery.
Key Duties
*Manage and update the preventative maintenance schedule
*Respond to breakdowns across cranes, saws, FLTs and other plant equipment
*Arrange statutory inspections with approved providers
*Carry out PAT testing and general maintenance tasks
*Maintain accurate maintenance records and daily activity logs
*Support health & safety, quality and environmental compliance (ISO standards)
*Work with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe working practices
*Occasional out-of-hours support when required
What We’re Looking For
*Experience in a maintenance or engineering role
*Strong mechanical/electrical fault-finding abilities
*Comfortable working with a variety of industrial equipment
*Good organisational and communication skills
*A proactive, safety-first mindset
